The firm’s two directors are Andrew Warren and John Clarke, who both service the firm’s offices in Narooma and Bega. They are backed up by solicitor AnneMarie Fahey and consulting solicitors John Robbie (Bega) and Michael McMahon (Sydney).
High level technical support is provided by a team of licensed conveyancers, paralegals and law clerks. The firm is unique in the local region in also having a dedicated Practice Manager available to assist clients with any queries throughout their matter.
Client feedback is constantly monitored for all of the firm’s staff team and all are regularly commended by clients for outstanding service.
Staff training and development is a high priority. Professional and support staff are regularly flown to Sydney for legal training and also undertake specialised training locally wherever possible. The firm also encourages staff in further education, assisting with fees, books and study leave - an innovative move aimed at supporting staff career paths while maintaining the firm’s high skill base. At any given time, a substantial proportion of staff members are successfully completing part time law or paralegal degrees.
Andrew Warren Associates is committed to being a strong regional employer and providing an interesting career path for outstanding employees. The firm has assisted 11 young people in completing legal traineeships in recent years, almost all of whom have gone on to have a career with the firm or onwards to university. The firm also recognises local students who have demonstrated excellence in legal studies - awarding prizes to HSC students at Narooma and Bega High Schools and the Bega Valley Christian College.
Andrew is the firm’s founder and specialises in litigation, commercial, criminal and family law.
In 2009, Andrew became the first far south coast solicitor to earn Specialist Accreditation in family law from The Law Society of NSW.
Andrew is an expert in complex family law property issues and children’s disputes and he regularly travels to Sydney and Canberra and beyond to represent the firm’s strong base of family law clients.
Andrew practised in Sydney before moving to the Bega Valley in 1997 where he joined and ultimately became a partner of well known local firm Sautelle White Lawyers. In 2005 he founded Andrew Warren Associates within the former Sautelle White Bega and Narooma offices, aiming to provide unparalleled levels of service possible to new and existing clients.
Andrew is committed to being approachable, sensitive and focused on client needs.
Over the past 15 years he has established a strong reputation for being a tough and highly skilled advocate, representing his clients in State and Federal Courts with an impressive record of successful outcomes. Andrew also gains a lot of satisfaction from his technical advice work and from managing a quality law firm, but most enjoys his time helping clients.
Andrew has post-graduate qualifications in commercial law and has successfully run numerous complex commercial litigation matters, including trade practices actions. His commercial clients include a number of small, medium and larger corporate entities, registered clubs and local government authorities.

John has an extensive professional background, boasting a successful career covering the government, corporate and small business sectors. While John has tertiary qualifications in law, commerce and industrial relations, he has a practical approach based on his many years of "hands on" experience in business and government.
John’s recent legal assignments have included business restructuring, contract issues, insolvencies, commercial litigation, liquor licensing and defamation proceedings. He also advises individual clients on wills, estates and family matters.
John also undertakes a variety of advocacy work for clients, appearing before local courts and other tribunals including the Industrial Relations Commission.
John became a Director on July 1st, 2006.

John was admitted to practice in 1958, and was a principal in law firms in Bega from 1960 to 1995.
Since then, he has made available his substantial legal expertise and local knowledge as a part time consultant to the firm.
John specialises in wills and estates and probate, and he has extensive knowledge of conveyancing, including old system title. He also provides technical legal advice on matters involving farming businesses, especially the complexities of family farms.
Michael provides specialist advice to the firm on complex land and environment matters as required.
Michael is one of the most experienced land and environment accredited specialists in NSW. He is a member of the examining panel that accredits land and environment specialists for the NSW Law Society.
He has specialized in local government and land and environment law since 1980. He is also an accredited mediator and member of various professional associations including the National Environmental Law Association and Local Government Lawyers Group.
Kate has been working as a paralegal since 1975, with substantial background working for major city firms such as Hunt & Hunt and Blake Dawson Waldron. In 2003, after a lengthy career in litigation support, she decided to consolidate her considerable expertise in conveyancing. In 2006, Kate completed her Conveyancing Law and Practice Course which qualified her as a Licensed Conveyancer.
Michelle started her career in law in Canberra with city firm Phillips Fox in 1993 and joined Andrew Warren in 2003. She has extensive experience in complex litigation support and is highly regarded by the firm’s clients for her sensitive handling of their concerns.
Carmel has been working as a paralegal for over 30 years, starting work with solicitor John Robbie, now a consultant to the firm. Carmel has extensive experience with wills, probate and estates, and assists with residential conveyancing matters.
Elizabeth joined the firm as a trainee in 2008 and she is now working as a Legal Assistant in our Bega office.
Margaret holds a certificate in Accounting and works for the firm in book keeping, accounts and general office administration.
